This work visually and symbolically exemplifies the growth within our own existence, specifically our innate emotional affiliation towards nature.

Emerge was hand carved from recycled and reclaimed domestic hardwoods from the Midwest. The ultra smooth surface of the maple sprout emerges with energy and most certain direction. Incredibly elegant and wondrous grain figuration are presented within the bulbous walnut burl. The surface treatment was achieved through wood bleach, custom oxidizing patinas and pigmented wood dyes. 

This delicate sculpture would present well on any mantle, wall shelf, pedestal and/or table space. It is well balanced, completely stable and should be cared for with light dusting when needed.
